Since 1980, the Minnesota JCI Senate annually honors one JCI Senator with the Senator of the Year
Award. The award was renamed in honor of Glen Jenkins who moved to Minnesota in the early 1980's.
Upon arrival in Minnesota, Glen promptly got involved with the Minnesota JCI Senate, serving as Vice
President in 1982-83. As they say, he was a "mover and a shaker," but his life was tragically taken in an
automobile accident while he was on business. In remembrance of Glen Jenkins, the Minnesota JCI
